Welcome to cureMSnow!,
a nonprofit, IRC 501(c)(3) research fund dedicated to finding the cause
and developing the cure for multiple sclerosis (MS). cureMSnow!
is a 100% volunteer organization established to support exciting research
aimed at curing MS. cureMSnow!
is currently supporting the work of Dr. Claude Genain at UCSF (University
of California San Francisco). cureMSnow!
gives over 90% of collected donations directly to the targeted research,
limiting ancillary costs to the strict minimum necessary for fundraising
operations.
Dr. Claude Genain, M.D., and his team of scientists at the University
of California San Francisco (UCSF), are prominent worldwide experts in
MS research and are driving the field in the race for a treatment and
ultimate cure for MS. Dr. Genain has developed a comprehensive research
plan, aimed at Understanding the causes of MS, Developing profiling strategies
to safely treat patients, Stopping the progression of the disease,
and Repairing its damage, facets of which are already in clinical trials.
Dr. Genain is a physician
scientist, which means that he is an expert at directly translating the
discoveries at the bench to the clinics and crafting “ready-to-go”
novel treatments for implementation into clinical trials by neurologists.
Dr. Genain's research has earned widespread credibility as attested by
funding grants from the National Institute of Health, the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society and the DANA Foundation. However, funding budgets from
these institutions are, unavoidably, constrained by current economical
restrictions, leaving very limited resources for the maturation and implementation
of groundbreaking research. Dr. Genain’s team work of the past 10
years has produced fundamental conceptual advances in MS that are now
ready to reach to the patient. While the spring-coil is set and the payload
ready, speedy delivery is impaired by the lack of a launching pad and
fuel engines powerful enough to make it an immediate reality. With
your support the time to bring these therapies from the conception to
reality can be halved, and the healing can soon begin for MS sufferers!
Within
the cureMSnow!
website you will find a summary of Dr. Genain’s research, the current
state of funding, and the amount of sustained funding necessary to accelerate
the research with the realistic goal of moving the experimental studies
into further clinical trials for patients. This proposal offers new perspectives
in MS research, and tremendous hope for progress in understanding MS,
testing new therapies, and finding the ultimate preventative cure for
this scourge.
Thank you for your time and attention to this extremely
important humanitarian goal. We are enthusiastic and optimistic about
the work that has been accomplished but there is still a lot to be done
and an urgent need to take the research forward as quickly as possible.
We hope you will join us in this crucial mission to find and develop the
Cure for MS Now!
Sincerely,
CureMSnow!
